Below you will find links to fun and interactive sites that host a large collection of animated talking picture books, chapter books, videos, nonfiction titles, playlists, books in languages other than English, graphic novels and so much more. These resources will help early readers improve their reading and writing skills. All are free to use at home or at school!

Highlights Kids – Highlight Kids, based on the venerable children’s magazine, offers animated short stories, articles and Read-and-Listen poems under the “Read It” tab.

International Children’s Library – Stories from around the world in multiple languages.

NYC School Library System – Digital resources for K – 5 digital resources. All NOVELny resources log in automatically if you are located in New York State. If you need the password to a resource, please email libraries@schools.nyc.gov from your NYC Public Schools or educator/student email account, identify the resource, and request the password and it will be provided.

eMediaVA – This comprehensive list of free digital learning resources is provided by the VA Department of Education to support learning in all subjects.  eMediaVA resources are free for all PreK-12 public, private, and home educators and students.
